2012 is getting off to a great start, I don’t know that I have been more happier to see in a New Year. Maybe it’s because we have exciting things happening this year or maybe it’s because the New Year offers the opportunity to start fresh and revisit some of your goals…or create new ones!
We had a fabulous Christmas and New Years, we were lucky enough to have family friends out from Italy to celebrate with us. It was a good excuse to leave our daily routines behind and just spend time together.
Christmas as usual was filled with copious amounts of food, lots of laughter and many a late night. I thought you might like to see some of the elements of our Christmas get together (at my parents place)
We chose to do away with custom back drops and table linen for the dessert buffet. Instead we decided to use a Garry Shead artwork that hangs on the dining room wall as inspiration for the table. Lots of deep warm colours with an elegant gold frame.
New Years Eve was incredible, we were extremely privileged to be invited to stay at an apartment in Sydney’s iconic ‘Toaster Building” aka The bennelong apartments. The apartments overlook Sydney Harbor so we had an un obscured view of the Bridge and Opera House.
I knew that the view would be amazing but it literally took my breath away when we walked into the apartment. You know that feeling you get when you want to act like a child and jump up and down screaming with excitement……I managed to compose myself long enough to enter the bathroom and do some jumping up and down in private lol.
The fireworks were amazing, I felt so proud of our city . My almost 90 year old grandmother was there and it was so fabulous to see the look on her face as well…just priceless!
Thank you all for your huge support in 2011, we hope you continue to enjoy the ride with us this year! There are lots of exciting things to share with you all which we hope to do so very soon.
I hope you enjoy the pics xx
